Chef Gianba Vinzoni

Gianbattista “Gianba” Vinzoni is the chef-owner behind Cinque Terre West, an intimate Italian restaurant in Austin, Texas, and a co-owner of Ciccio Bomba with comedian and partner Tom Segura. His cooking is rooted in Bonassola, on Italy’s Cinque Terre coast in Liguria, where his family has lived for generations.

Cinque Terre West — Ligurian cuisine in Austin

Cinque Terre West is Gianba’s passion project: bringing authentic Ligurian and Cinque Terre cooking to Austin. The restaurant focuses on locally sourced seafood, seasonal produce, and daily handmade pasta fatto a mano, served in an intimate dining room on Burnet Road in Rosedale.

Ciccio Bomba — Italian bakery cafés with Tom Segura

With Tom Segura and Marlo Vinzoni, Gianba also co-owns Ciccio Bomba, Austin’s Italian bakery-café concept known for homemade cornettos (Italian croissants), sandwiches, pizza, and baked goods. Locations include:

Baked goods for Cinque Terre West and Ciccio Bomba are made in-house — a shared craft that connects the dinner restaurant and the bakery cafés. Guests who know one brand often discover the other; it’s a deliberate cross-promotion of the same kitchen standards in two formats.
